Created by Pierce College faculty, this AA-DTA map is designed to transfer to most Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Arts and Science degrees at all four-year colleges and universities in Washington state. This map provides you a clear path to complete your degree by listing a specific set of courses relevant to your program and career. The map is designed with the appropriate number of credits and meets degree requirements. Courses are organized in a recommended sequence; please schedule accordingly. If a course is unavailable, select the next appropriate course within the sequence. For each course, a purpose statement explains how the content relates to your career field. On this map, there may be instances when you will be required to select a course from several options. Use these purpose statements and notes to choose the course that best aligns with your interests and needs. You will also find action items to complete to assure you progress and graduate on time.

Explore the interdisciplinary, high-demand field of new media, digital design, and media studies, including 3D modeling, animation, illustration, graphic design, motion graphics, photography, UX/UI design, and video skills to create a comprehensive portfolio. This two-year program can be completed entirely online, enabling students to seek immediate employment or transfer to a four-year college to earn their degree.

UX/UI Design Certification Career Pathway Course Map
UX/UI Design Certification

This project-based certificate program focuses on creating an accessible human-centered design system and interaction design for cross-platform applications. Students will gain experience in researching, analyzing usability data, prototyping, and user testing. Upon successful completion of the program, students will have extensive websites and mobile app high-fidelity prototypes in their design portfolio to demonstrate advanced UX design skills.
